On Monday, June 17, 2024, SMESS hosted the event 「四方館」, focusing on the theme of ESG, titled 「ESG的三觀世界」. The founding president, Ms. Ophelia Lin, invited distinguished guests, including former Secretary for the Environment, Wong Kam-sing GBS JP, who served as the keynote speaker. He shared valuable insights and experiences on “The Road to Carbon Neutrality.”

Three additional speakers were featured:

• Mr. William Yip discussed how to easily incorporate environmentally friendly paints into business practices while aligning with ESG principles.
• Mr. Oswald Au, an ESG consultant, shared innovative ways to apply carbon neutrality concepts, even at children’s birthday parties.
• Mr. Pasu Ng emphasized the idea of 「一切從簡」”keeping it simple,” advocating for meaningful yet straightforward end-of-life ceremonies, such as using eco-friendly paper coffins that can be personalized.

Through this event, the speakers shared their extensive knowledge and expertise in sustainable development, inspiring attendees to reflect on the importance of ESG and carbon neutrality.
